TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Air Freight & Sea Freight Services

1. Definitions

“Company” refers to UK 2 ZIM Shipping Co.

“Client” / “Shipper” refers to any individual or entity using the Company’s services.

“Goods” refers to cargo, packages, or items tendered for transport.

2. Scope of Services

The Company provides air freight and sea freight forwarding services only. The Company acts as an agent and not as a carrier unless expressly stated otherwise.

3. Packing and Securing of Goods

The Client is solely responsible for ensuring that all goods are properly packed, secured, labeled, and suitable for transport by air or sea.

The Company accepts no liability for loss, damage, leakage, breakage, or deterioration of goods resulting from insufficient, unsafe, or improper packing, whether packed by the Client or a third party.

The Company reserves the right to refuse shipment of goods deemed unsafe or inadequately packed.

4. No Insurance Coverage

The Company does not provide cargo insurance.

All goods are shipped entirely at the Client’s own risk, unless the Client independently arranges insurance with a third-party insurer.

The Company shall not be liable for any uninsured loss or damage, including total loss.

5. Limitation of Liability

The Company shall not be liable for any damage, loss, delay, or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, business interruption, or indirect damages.

Any liability, if applicable, shall be strictly limited in accordance with:

Air freight: The terms and limitations set out in the Air Waybill, including applicable international conventions (e.g. Montreal or Warsaw Convention).

Sea freight: The terms and limitations set out in the Bill of Lading and applicable maritime conventions.

6. Delays

The Company shall not be held responsible or liable for delays caused by:

Airlines, shipping lines, ports, customs authorities, or third parties

Weather conditions, mechanical failures, congestion, strikes, acts of God, or force majeure events

Transit times provided are estimates only and not guaranteed.

7. Carrier Terms Prevail

All shipments are subject to the terms and conditions of the actual carrier (airline or shipping line).

In the event of any conflict, the carrier’s Air Waybill or Bill of Lading terms shall prevail.

8. Prohibited and Restricted Goods

The Client warrants that goods shipped are legal, safe, and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations in the country of origin, transit, and destination.
The Company accepts no liability for fines, seizures, or penalties resulting from non-compliance.

9. Indemnity

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company against any claims, losses, damages, penalties, or expenses arising from:

Improper packing

Incorrect documentation

Misdeclaration of goods

Breach of these Terms and Conditions

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with applicable international shipping laws and conventions, together with any relevant local jurisdiction laws.
